This week I'm wrapping up the Feathers, Bows, & Pearls post that was inspired by a Brides Magazine spread. In their article they featured a few good Ladies;Ginger Rogers, Marilyn Monroe, and my all time fave Audrey Hepburn! If you've been following the past three weeks than you know that I did individual Wardrobe Wednesday posts on each Lady and accessory that they were featured with in the Brides article.
Ever since this shoe was introduced, I wanted a pair. I finally purchased a pair and I absolutely LOVE them!! The reason why I love these so much is because when I normally workout on the elliptical, I form muscle right by my ankle bone making the bone look non-existent. Why is this a problem? Well, I've never been a fan of the cankle and this is what happens :-/ But now with my new Reebok Easytones this problem is eliminated and I get that sexy ankle look that I adore! All this ankle talk makes me sound strange but trust me these shoes are ah-mazing!! They are definitely a must have in my book!!
Ok, you know those air freshener's with the scented beads...well I discovered this trick to save you some money. When those things dry up I usually toss it and buy a new one. Well, a couple weeks ago I added a little water to those shriveled pearls to release the last little bit of scent that was left. Let's face it I buy these things at the dollar store but for some reason was being extra frugal that day. But to my surprise I was about to enter a whole new realm of penny pinching. When I went to grab that container to toss it I noticed that those baby pearls had expanded and with FULL aromas radiating! I have since plumped these pearls a couple times and the scent has yet to disappoint!
I don't know what it is about tea but I can't help but LOVE it! I love the sound of my tea kettle whistling in the morning and I love the calming effect holding a hot cup of tea in my hands has on me at night. I have an entire cupboard dedicated to my teas! One of my all time FAVES is Lipton's Red Tea. However, it is very hard for me to find this product at any local stores. I heard that they pulled the product but I have found places online that have been selling it. There is a subtle strawberry hint to this tea that my senses adore and you can always find a pitcher of this tea in my fridge. It is a great refresher in the summer and tastes even better when I add some slices of orange and fresh strawberry. I'm not a big sweet tea drinker but like the enhancement that the strawberry and passion fruit add.
Here is something to help pump you up and get the motivation pulsating through those veins. The lyrics above are some of my favorite lyrics ever! It doesn't hurt to hear Pharrell Williams voice either...mmmm...melt... Happy Monday!*;-)
Seeing as its a new year and everyone is trying to reorganize and prepare for a successful year I thought it appropriate to feature some of my favorite android apps that keep me focused...
This app is ah-mazing to keep all of your finances in order. If you're like me and have multiple bank accounts to organize your finances this app is a wonderful resource to keep tabs on all of those accounts in one place. I also love this app because it allows you to see where you are spending money and it puts the information into graphs and charts and also gives you tips on how to save that hard earned cash! If getting a better handle on your finances is one of your resolutions this year this app is a must try!
I keep a lot of different lists, notes, and memos. This app helps me keep those random pieces of information organized. I love it because you can add images, video, or voice recordings to your notes and make checklists which is GREAT for my grocery lists! I also keep little tidbits of inspiration handy with this app.
I think I would die without this app. It is basically a cloud drive you store information and are able to share it with others. I use it for my businesses and it is the best way for me to transfer my images off of my phone and onto my computer.
For those of you fighting the never-ending battle of health and fitness (myself included) this app is a great way to track your calories and exercise. This app has an immense library of different foods and their nutritional values. What is really awesome is that you can scan the bar code of certain foods instead of entering in the data. A great app to help with those weight loss resolutions. If you download the app send a friend request to LadyinLoveLand. It is always great to grow a solid support system when it comes to tackling those fitness needs!
I don't know about you but when it comes time to sell back textbooks I can't help but feel the urge to pull out my hair strand by single strand. I think the thought of watching hundreds of dollars slip out of my fingers may have something to do with it but the hassle is also a pain. This app takes care of the hassle part. You scan your textbooks bar code and up pops a buyback price. If you're satisfied with the price you trade the book in. Amazon sends you an email with the postage slip, you pack up the books, ship, and wait for your money. The downside is you are credited in Amazon credit. But it's not so bad if you are an avid amazon purchaser like myself.
These are a few of my favorite apps that I will be relying on this year to help me keep up with my goals. What are some of yours?!? I would LOVE to hear from you!
